Dear Mother,

Well that is cool that Mandy gets to go to a Mets game! President Greer would never let something like that happen! But every mission is different and President Calderwood knows what he is doing that is best for the missionaries in his mission. I can only imagine what Sister Hamblin is going to do at the game!

I have been very busy this past week doing a bunch of "mission" stuff. I will probably write a little more in my letter, but this past week we only had about 10 hours of total proslyting time! It was fun, but I would much rather be able to proslyte than do the work like that. I like being out with the people and having the Spirit tell me what I can say to bless their lives for that day, but there is much to be done with the mission splitting and there are some missionaries that we need to look out for. Bytheway, are you getting my letters? This morning when I went to put a letter in the mail box where we live, there was still a letter that I had sent Friday. Granted I didn't have any time whatsoever to even think about a letter last week until Wednesday, but this week you should get two letters back-to-back. I am doing my best to keep my promise to President Hunt.

I hope you all have fun on your Nauvoo trip. Elder Babbitt is from that area, so and he knows all about Nauvoo! You will have so much fun on the way to Nauvoo. We had a trip to the Tri-Cities (about a 5 hour drive from Woodland) and I learned something along the way. Roads have directions. They also have signs. Where do you think you are going? Unless we have a goal, we are wasting time (and for missionaries precious miles) roaming around waiting for somthing to happen. We have a destonation whether we know it or not. The real question is are we goal setting for how far we want to go, because as missionaries we HAVE to make every mile count.

Love,
Elder Hamblin
